Dragon Boat racing is something which is growing in popularity in the UK, originating from Southern China’s Guangdong Province. Boat races are part of the great heritage of British culture and an amazing way to unite both competitors and communities together behind a common cause.
In Bengali Nowka Bais is also the traditional form of dragon boat style racing in rural villages of Bangladesh held after the monsoon rains and reflects many of the customs of the country. Shadwell Dragon, a boat racing team is founded in 90s in Shadwell, London. A group of young school boys become so strong in the river Thames by competing many professional teams from all over England.

You don't have to be super fit – everyone has to start somewhere. We regularly welcome newbies to our training sessions...so chances are, you won't be alone :)
You can bring a buddy if you like, and our friendly team will look after you anyway. Your first three sessions with us are free. As a beginner, you'll be seated with or behind a Rage buddy so you have someone to follow. Just come and get a feel for timing, technique basics, and most importantly, have fun!
